Fourth Grade

Welcome to the Fourth Grade Home Page!

My name is Michelle Centeno and I am very honored and excited to be joining the Immaculate Conception school family. I have been teaching at various levels for the past 12 years, as well as level chair for grades 3-5 in a local Westside Catholic school. I graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree and am currently finishing my Masters of Education at Loyola Marymount University. In my spare time I enjoy reading, cooking, hiking, and watching my son play sports at Notre Dame High School.

I believe that a positive learning environment is vital to the success of young students. That is why I take great effort to create a classroom atmosphere that allows my pupils to discover what truly inspires them and encourages trust in their own abilities. A confident student is much more likely to realize their full potential and achieve success in all challenges they may face. My goal as a teacher is to instill that inner strength and a desire to learn in each one of my students.

As a mother who has sent her children through Catholic schools, I recognize that a Catholic education emphasizes the importance of learning about and living our Catholic faith. It will be a blessing to see your children grow academically and spiritually throughout this school year.
