Kindergarten

Welcome to the Kindergarten Home Page!

Hello, my name is Ms. Valenzuela and I am the Kindergarten teacher!  This is my second year teaching at IC Catholic School and I love it!  I too attended Catholic schools from kindergarten through college in the Los Angeles area.

My love for teaching was evident even as a young child, and it grew after volunteering at local schools at the age of 16.  I received my Elementary Education and Spanish degree from Loyola Marymount University, along with a minor in Bilingual Education. I then taught grades 3-4 in Catholic schools and within El Rancho Unified School District.

I am thrilled to teach Kindergarten about their Catholic faith, values, and the strength of prayer.  Together we will explore the gifts God gave us and how to care for all of creation.  How we also have gifts called talents and the opportunities to let them shine, let them shine, let them shine!  But most of all, how Jesus shows us God’s love for us and how we can spread that same love to others.

Besides teaching, I enjoy spending time with my parents and four sisters.  I have a five-year-old nephew who I adore like one of my own.  We sing all of the time!  He just taught me “God Is Bigger Than the Boogie Man” and I can’t wait to share it with the class! J
