Welcome to the Seventh Grade Home Page!
Hello students and parents!! My name is Reymundo Barrasa, and I am the Math and Science teacher for the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. I am the father of Joaquin – 1 year old. I have six years of experience in both the private and public school settings teaching Math and Spanish 1 to freshman and sophomores. Most of my teaching experience comes from teaching high school students, but I am very excited at the opportunity to teach at the middle school level.
I have my Bachelor Degree in Human Services, because I believe my calling in life is to help others get to a place they cannot take themselves. I am currently exploring my school options to obtain my Master’s in Education at CSULA or LMU. In addition to being a teacher, I have been an Assistant Head football coach, Defensive Coordinator, and after school tutor for all student athletes. My favorite position I have held is a Mentor and big brother to the students I have taught and coached. I have a strong Catholic school upbringing; I am an alumnus of St. Anthony’s elementary and Don Bosco Technical Institute High School.
I believe we all have a purpose in life, and God has a great plan for us all! I have a strong faith, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and Our Blessed Mother are very special to me and I do not know where my life would be without them.
My main goal for the school year is to further the education of my students, build a strong team environment, and develop character, so that my students can become strong responsible citizens of America.
Classroom Motto: “Trust in God’s plan! There are many different paths to success!!! Don’t always follow the path that’s in front of you! Go where there is no path and leave a trail!”
