Third Grade

Ms. VasquezWelcome to the Third Grade Home Page!

My name is Ms. Vivian Vasquez, and I am the third grade teacher. My faith in the Catholic school system started at an early age. I attended both a Catholic elementary and high school. I, then, continued on to California Polytechnic University of Pomona where I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and a California Teaching Credential.

I have been teaching third grade for four years. It has been extremely rewarding to help navigate my students through this transition period. It is in third grade that we begin to develop study skills, write research reports and master math facts.

When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my nieces and nephew. Traveling is another passion of mine, which I try to do as often as possible. I also love listening to and discovering new music. Generally, these things tend to permeate into my teaching.

As a product of Catholic schools, I am a firm believer in the system. Not only do they provide a high quality education but they also help cultivate moral values. Catholic schools instill in students a high standard of excellence, which they carry on once they leave our halls. Students also understand what it is to serve with compassion. With all that said, I have the utmost faith in what we do here at IC School.
